SynCat@Beijing will organize the 1^st Syncat Academy Catalysis School in Huairou-Beijing on October 19 and 20, 2015. External scientists at PhD, PostDoc or academic staff level are warmly welcome to attend this event together with research scientists from Synfuels China. The two-day program is titled “The Fundamentals of Surface Science for Catalysis” and is dedicated to the understanding of how catalysts work on the molecular level.

Our speakers from SynCat@Beijing will be reinforced by Prof. Yongwang Li (Synfuels China), Prof. Mike Bowker (University of Cardiff, UK), Prof. Ding Ma (Peking University), Prof. Ye Wang (Xiamen University), and dr. Kees-Jan Weststrate (Syngaschem BV, Eindhoven, The Netherlands).

Registration is required until October 12, 2015. Attendance is free of charge.

SynCat@Beijing’s purpose is – next to research – to offer education on catalysis, surface science, and materials science in the framework of the SynCat Ac@demy. The 1^st Syncat Academy Catalysis School forms a landmark in the development of its course program.
