Tutorial "Catalysis by zeolites"
Ling Zhang graduated in chemical engineering in 2005 at Dalian University of Technology, with a thesis on gasoline upgrading by aromatization. She continued at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics to further specialize in zeolite materials as catalysts for petrochemicals, and to obtained her Ph.D degree in Industrial Catalysis in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Longya Xu.
In Europe, she broadened her horizon by joining Prof. Hermann Gies`s research group in Crystal Chemistry in Bochum, Germany, where she focused her research on design synthesis and structure analysis of new layered materials. She obtained industrial experience at Corbion Purac BV, while working on new routes for the upgrading of biomass. She joined Syngaschem BV in October 2014, and started working at SynCat@Beijing from February 2015 on heterogeneous catalysis in FTS product workup.
